• Mr. Peplinski is currently working on multiple Marine Energy projects related to improving efficiency in environmental regulation and project installation. The Environmental Compliace Cost Estimation project collected data and feedback from project developers, state regulators and national regulatory organizations (BOEM, FERC, NMFS) to create strategies and actions for improving permitting. Currently he is working to develop and apply Technology Performance Levels (TPL) for Marine Energy. More generally his work over the last 10 years has been with models of water usage, storage and stream flow in the arena of System Dynamics, including projects on fish mortality relative to river discharge in the Rio Grande basin, enhancement of water usage models for the Gila and San Francisco Rivers, and integration of agricultural production into a Rio Grande basin model. Related to systems research, Mr. Peplinski was involved in the development of modularized water resource models that he helped to distribute to end users in Amman, Jordan.
