Kenneth Granlund is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the North Carolina State University. He is the director of the Unsteady Fluid Mechanics Group, which employs graduate research assistants in areas including hydrokinetic energy harvesting, aircraft store separation acoustics and flight mechanics, race-car aerodynamics. Granlund received his Ph.D. in 2009 from Virginia Tech and M.S in 2002 from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden. Granlund has collaboratively secured over $2.5 million in federal, state, and industrial funding to support his research projects.
