Dr. Gordon is a Principal Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories with a PhD from Northwestern University in Inorganic Chemistry. In her 18 years at Sandia, she has investigated functional solid state materials in a variety of applications, from H2 separation membranes and photocatalysts, to clay composite barrier materials and negative thermal expansion materials. Currently, she also serves as the Deputy Director for the DuraMAT Consortium. DuraMAT is a 5 year consortium of four national laboratories, NREL, SNL, SLAC, and LBL focused on the discovery, development, and enabling the commercialization of more reliable PV module materials in order to decrease the cost of PV energy.
