Andrew Paul Klump is a renewable energy executive with 20 years of solar energy, storage, and technology experience with a 17-year track record in China. Mr. Klump is the founder, owner, and CEO of Clean Energy Associates (CEA), a solar energy and storage engineering services firm established in 2008 which serves investors, developers, EPC contractors, utilities, and other downstream clients in the areas of supply chain management, quality assurance, independent engineering, and business intelligence. CEA’s team of 125+ professionals, including 85+ engineers with a presence in 12 countries and 4 continents, have worked with clients in over 55 countries and completed over 60GW of solar energy and storage projects valued at $10B+. CEA’s team of professionals exhibits a deep commitment to the core values and purpose and has obtained NPS score of 70+ with a 35% response rate from customers and team members as a validation of its unique culture.
Prior to CEA, Mr. Klump served as the Vice President of Business Development for Trina Solar, where he oversaw the company’s international expansion plans covering upstream polysilicon procurement, downstream project integration, and development. Together with the executive management team, he helped raise nearly $500M in capital during the company’s IPO and follow-on offerings on the New York Stock Exchange from 2006 to 2008. In addition to his duties with Trina Solar, Mr. Klump also served as a Board Member of the US Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). Prior to 2006, Mr. Klump worked in sales, business development, and strategic planning roles in China for large companies such as Dell and Intel. Prior to coming to China in 2001, Mr. Klump supported both public and private high growth technology companies in business development and marketing roles at iXL Enterprises, Silverpop Systems (Sold to IBM), and Trilogy Software in the US.
