New Trends in Bankable Energy Yields: An Independent Engineer (IE) Perspective
Wednesday, October 21, 2020
3:00 PM – 3:20 PM EDT
Energy yield is critical to every solar project and is hotly debated among financiers and technical advisors. When small differences mean millions in revenue, accurate and consistent energy yield assessments (EYA’s) are vital. There is wide variability in assumptions and inputs used in generating EYAs and this can lead to missed revenue forecasts and other risks. In this session, we will share an independent engineer perspective, based on a wide variety of financed solar projects, on the evolving methods, data sources, and mistakes made in one of the most contentious aspects of project finance-energy yield analyses.
