Energy and Due Diligence for Hybrid Wind-Solar-Storage Systems
This presentation outlines the best practices to design and integrate utility-scale wind, solar, and/or storage systems within a shared project area. There are numerous advantages to siting wind, solar, and storage technology on the same land parcel, including efficient land use, development similarities, cost efficiencies from shared infrastructure, and load coincidence/load management opportunities. All of these factors create incentive for developing wind and solar on the same land parcel. To develop a renewable energy hybrid system, multiple technologies must be strategically designed and sited to maximize generation while avoiding interference. This presentation provides best practices to mitigate negative impacts and maximize combined production.
