Director, Renewable Development

Wilson Mallard serves as the Director of Renewable Development for Georgia Power. In this role, Wilson leads the Renewable Development Department as they implement the Company’s industry leading renewable programs. Mallard began his career with Georgia Power in 1997 and has held various positions in Retail Sales and Service, Pricing and Rates, and Energy Efficiency. From 2013 – 2016, he helped create and lead the Renewable Development team as the Renewable Energy Planning Manager. Mallard had the primary responsibility for renewable energy strategy and program development for Georgia Power. He managed all aspects of analysis, compliance, reporting, and communication related to Georgia Power’s renewable energy initiatives. Most recently he served as the Assistant to the Sr. Vice President of Marketing for Georgia Power. A native of Monroe, Ga., Wilson holds a B.A. in Geography from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. from Mercer University.
