Senior Renewable Energy Analyst
Mr. Marletti attended the University of Rome where he obtained his BS and MS in Environmental Engineering. He then earned his post-graduate master’s degree in Energy Efficiency and Conservation in Building Design from the University of Siena.
Mr. Marletti has over 7 years of experience in the wind and solar industries. His current role at UL is a senior renewable energy analyst. He is responsible for Solar energy and resource assessment, wind resource assessment, data validation and analysis, engineering judgment on assigned projects.
Previous to UL Simone worked for Hydroingea Srl, a Rome-based engineering firm that focuses on energy efficiency in the construction industry. He worked there an engineering consultant and was involved in the design of solar energy systems for green buildings. Mr. Marletti then moved to Studio Rinnovabili International, another Rome-based firm. While in his position as a wind energy consultant, he designed final proposals for 80+ MW of wind farm projects in Italy and was involved with proposal design and technical report documentation for over 2 MW of solar PV projects.
