Divya Gupta, MD is the medical director for advanced heart failure and transplantation for Emory Healthcare and an associate professor of internal medicine. She actively cares for patients with heart failure, complex cardiac pathology, heart transplants, and mechanical support devices (left ventricular assist devices) in the clinics, the hospital, and in the ICU. She received her undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and completed her medical education and training at Emory. She has a keen interest in peripartum cardiomyopathy, mechanical support devices used to maintain circulation, and providing hope for a tomorrow through advanced options for cardiac care to patients and their loved ones when none seems to exist. In her spare time, she loves being mom to her two wonderful daughters.
