Steven V. Manoukian, MD, FACC, FAHA, FSCAI is Chief of Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracic & Care Assure, HCA Healthcare (HCA) in Nashville, Tennessee. In this capacity, he leads HCA's activities enterprise-wide, across over 185 US and UK facilities, including 6,500 related physicians, which provide approximately 5% of US healthcare. Responsibilities include market development, program development, physician development, business development and care management development, as well as clinical performance, research and supply chain optimization. Dr. Manoukian joined HCA in 2008; prior HCA roles included Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services, Director (and Founder) of Cardiovascular Research and practicing interventional cardiologist, all in Nashville, Tennessee.
Before HCA, Dr. Manoukian served 19 years at Emory University in Atlanta, including fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, as well as Director of Interventional Cardiology at Emory University Hospital-Midtown. His residency and chief residency were at State University of New York at Stony Brook and is a graduate of New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Manoukian is an experienced clinical trialist, researcher and lecturer with numerous peer-reviewed publications. His awards include the Emory Excellence in Teaching Award and American Federation for Clinical Research Trainee Investigator Award. He is serving or has served in numerous capacities with national organizations, including the American College of Cardiology (ACC) on the NCDR ACTION Registry Steering Committee, Quality Care Delivery Working Group, Optimizing CV Care: ACC and Health Systems, Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS)/ACC TVT Registry Stakeholder Advisory Group and Industry Advisory Forum; the American Heart Association (AHA) on the Value in Healthcare Initiative, Quality Accreditation Science Committee and Advocacy Coordinating Committee; and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (SCAI) Development & Industry Relations Committee. He was a Medical Reporter for FOX television in Atlanta from 1998-2008.
