Mosquitoes constantly interact with a diverse community of microbes throughout their life. These mosquito-microbe interactions impact multiple life history traits like larval development, lifespan, mating preferences and also vector competence. This symposium will elucidate recent developments in mosquito-microbe interactions with a special focus on vector competence and mosquito control.
