Topics include medical entomology, urban entomology, veterinary entomology, forensic entomology, epidemiology, integrated disease management, human and veterinary parasitology, public health pest management, mosquito control, management of structural pests (e.g., termites, ants), and others. Check out the links under resources for more information on the ESA MUVE section and to access TRIVIA! New Trivia will be posted daily from 11/15-11/19 and daily winners will be highlighted on the ESA MUVE social media!
ESA Physiology, Biochemistry, & Toxicology (PBT) Section
This Section is for people who study insects at the cellular or molecular levels and includes topics such as biochemistry, microbiology, toxicology, endocrinology, cytology, molecular biology, allelo chemicals, pheromones, hormones, metabolism, and others.
ESA Plant-Insect Ecosystems (P-IE) Section
For over a dozen years, the Plant-Insect Ecosystem Section has been at the forefront of activities in the ESA. We lead the way with special field tours that bring together a diverse set of entomologists, NGOs, and policy makers to learn about important issues and develop communication networks. We are known for our large celebrations offering pie and other refreshments at the Annual Meetings. If you like Hot-Topic debates, speed networking between senior and early-career entomologists, and an openness to innovative ideas, please consider joining us. Just include the P-IE Section when you submit your next ESA membership renewal. Our Section deals with insect interactions with plants. Topics include behavioral, ecological, and evolutionary relationships in natural landscapes, as well as integrated pest management (IPM) in agriculture, horticulture, forests, and lawn and garden.
ESA Systematics, Evolution, & Biodiversity (SysEB) Section
