Deric Waters earned his PhD from Georgia Institute in Technology in 2005. Since then he has worked on a variety of projects for Texas Instruments as a Systems Engineer. Recently he helped develop the USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery specifications, serving as the chair of the PHY sub-group. Now he is defining semiconductors for the USB-C market.
