This paper proposes a modified proportional-resonant (MPR) current controller with a dc-link voltage controller and maximum power point tracking controller for a grid-integrated photovoltaic (GIPV) system. The proposed MPR controller supports the GIPV system to inject grid current with low total harmonic distortion during distorted grid voltage conditions. A modified INC algorithm is used with MPR which provides faster tracking with low power oscillations in the presence of distorted grid voltage conditions. The effectiveness of the proposed MPR current controller is verified by OPAL-RT. The MPR controller performance results obtained is better than the conventional PI and PR controller.
