this paper has presented a novel fast FCS-MPC scheme. In the proposed method, instead of estimation all the possible switching combinations, the proposed multistep FCS-MPC is reformulated mathematically to an l2 norm optimization problem, which can be easily solved on-line through matrix theory. Compared with the existing MPC optimization algorithms, the proposed long horizon prediction formulation method has the advantage of reduced computational burden and no need for the weighting factors. The proposed method is finally verified experimentally on a seven-level CHB inverter prototype to control output currents and minimize common-mode voltage (CMV) with long horizon prediction length.
