This paper introduces an adaptive method to optimize a grid-connected inverter's current-control loop by re-adjusting the controller gains based online measurements of the loop. Additionally, an adaptive notch filter is developed to avoid stability issues with a load-affected AC-side filter and to mitigate high-frequency oscillations in the inverter output current. Experimental results are shown from a kW-scale power hardware-in-the-loop setup, consisting a real three-phase grid-connected inverter.
