dual active clamp forward converter, high efficiency, high DC voltage gain
An asymmetric dual active clamp forward (ADACF) converter for reducing the large primary conduction loss is proposed. By changing the position of one ACF cell structure and by adding the secondary winding of one transformer, the high DC voltage gain can be achieved. In addition, the overlapping period of the two main switches is changed by using phase-shift control, so that the voltage gain can also be increased. Due to the high voltage gain, the large turns ratio of transformers can be designed, and the proposed converter can improve the efficiency by reducing large primary conduction loss.
