In this paper, the authors proposed an analytical design approach for high bandwidth envelope tracking applications using a two-phase three-level buck converter option. The proposed design has an average tracking efficiency of 94.5% and a peak efficiency of 97.5% at 26 W and 115 W respectively.Power loss models are developed and comparative analysis with equivalent four-phase two-level buck converter is presented. Simulation results and performance analysis are presented to validate the proof of concept.
