Multi-input single-output converters play a crucial role in hybrid electric vehicle applications, regulating the voltage of different ports as well as efficiently transferring the power form source to DC bus or vice versa. An integrated double-input single-output dc-dc converter based on switched-capacitor configuration is presented in this paper, which can be employed for interfacing between sources with different voltage levels. Providing wide voltage gain range, the proposed converter can step-up the voltage of the input sources to a regulated high-voltage dc bus. To achieve a high voltage-gain in step-up mode, the capacitors are charged in parallel and discharged in series. A 1kW, 100 kHz experimental prototype is built to validate the effectiveness of the proposed concept.
