Data-Driven Current Control of the PMSM with Dynamic Mode Decomposition and the Linear Quadratic Integrator
A data-driven current controller for the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) has been developed using dynamic mode decomposition (DMD) and the linear quadratic integrator (LQI). The bias due to measurement noise has been canceled out using a technique based on forward backward DMD (FBDMD) which, in this work, has been extended to systems with actuation. The system model is converted to a linear time-invariant system using augmented states. The system identified with DMD is then used to determine the optimal feedback control law by solving the discrete algebraic riccati equation (DARE).
