WVC 92nd Annual Conference
It's now PC to suggest all dogs are individuals. Clearly, that's true. However, there's more to it, but for some reason, we're not supposed to talk about that. The nature vs. nurture debate is alive and well in the dog world, with professionals and the public taking strong positions on two extreme sides of an argument that has already been answered by science a thousand times over. Bringing the dog-loving community together around a new conversation in which we are able to explain and talk about the truth that all dogs are individuals because of the complex contributors to the whole animal, not despite them is paramount. You will be introduced to a simple new system that can unlock the key to each dog - The Dog LEGS System of Integrated Canine Science. The purpose is to create a validating baseline set of behavior expectations for all dogs, even mixed breeds. LEGS makes it possible to help veterinary professionals to help clients to choose the right companion in the first place, and to help clients truly understand what characteristics are likely in their dogs. Ultimately needs can't be met without caretakers understanding what those needs are.
