WVC 92nd Annual Conference
This 4 hour workshop, developed and delivered by leaders in the field of veterinary point of care ultrasound (VPOCUS), will build on the interactive lectures which are a prerequisite to the work shop. Through practical, hands-on training on live dogs and cadavers participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice all of the common veterinary point of care ultrasound techniques currently used to assess the abdomen, pleural space, lung, heart and vascular systems. In addition to the original veterinary A-FAST, T-FAST and lung ultrasound protocols, newer techniques developed by the instructors, designed to increase VPOCUS diagnostic accuracy, will be taught. These are all techniques that can be performed by any practitioner and should be used in every day practice! We will also briefly review basic ultrasound machine function and use a phantom model to teach ultrasound guided IV access. Capacity: 24. Price: $675.
