Advanced Integrative Hospice Care Techniques I
It is important to utilize all means to improve quality-of-life at the end-of-life. Some interventions may quickly mitigate distress, so utilizing a critical care technique may prevent a patient from suffering. Some of these techniques are invaluable especially if the family needs more time for decision making or to help the pet die a good hospice assisted death. The basics of performing abdomenocentesis, thoracentesis, urinary catheterization, and at home oxygen therapy will be covered in this lecture. Part 1 of 2.
