Euthanasia is often thought of as the cause of compassion fatigue. Sad interactions with clients and patients, and witnessing death, often multiple times a day, has led us to believe that we cannot do it without the fatigue setting in. But is it possible to use euthanasia as a means to reduce compassion fatigue? This hour, we will explore the two main components of compassion fatigue and how providing proper, gentle euthanasia could forever bring harmony to busy practices.
