Wildland Fire Education Specialist

Jennifer is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s of science in Forest Policy. After college, she moved to Utah and started a career for the State of Utah, Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. During her 15 years, she worked as a Wildland Urban Interface Coordinator assisting communities in Northern Utah on community planning and wildfire mitigation (fuel reduction) projects along becoming the statewide Wildfire Risk Reduction Coordinator. In January 2020, she jumped the fence and began working for the national forest in northern Utah. Her position now is to inform, increase understanding and build advocacy on everything wildfire related for the Forest Fire, Fuels and Aviation Program.
