Mike Sennett recently joined Water Quality Association as its General Counsel upon his retirement from the global law firm Jones Day. Prior to joining WQA as General Counsel, Mike served as legal counsel to WQA for the past 25 years representing it as principal trade association counsel in many of its operations and undertakings. At Jones Day, his practice focused on the antitrust aspects globally of mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures; antitrust litigation; civil investigations before the U.S. DOJ, the FTC and state attorneys general; and criminal and cartel antitrust matters. He also handled complex cases throughout the U.S. and counseled clients on antitrust aspects of IP licensing and related patent matters, strategic alliances and collaborations, pricing and price discrimination, distribution, advertising and consumer protection. Mike remains an adjunct law professor at Loyola University Chicago and is a member of the board of advisors of the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Law Studies and the Midwest Antitrust Colloquium.
