The previous numerical studies confirms that the effect of coupling amongst loudspeakers cannot be neglected in a multiple channel active noise control (ANC) system inside a confined space. Depending on the electromechanical properties of the loudspeakers, the coupling happens through the enclosure acoustic modes and this will change the radiation impedance of the loudspeakers. As a result, the performance of the ANC system will be influenced due to the changes of the supplied voltage to the secondary loudspeakers. In this study, we aim to generalize the results by including a finite element model (FEM) of the loudspeaker, which is validated experimentally. The validated loudspeaker is used for simulation of the ANC system using the finite element method.
