The purpose of project was to analyse acoustic parameters of churches in Krakow. Buildings in the Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and so-called modern styles were measured and analysed. The results were compared with the recommendations described in the PN-B-02151-4: 2016-06 standard, which specifies the acoustic parameters of public spaces.
The results were also used to validate the numerical models of the measured churches. During measurements, the receivers were placed in the audience. The technique used in the project was an impulse response of the room using single, omnidirectional impulses. The measurements were made in accordance with the PN-EN ISO 3382-2 standard.
