This workshop is addressed to those who wish to reflect and learn more about sound design for immersive cinema. The sound design challenges presented by new technologies and immersive media require the development of specific workflow strategies that go beyond adapting standard industry practices. More specifically, this workshop will focus on Ambisonics spatialization and mixing strategies for 360 and 180-degree film, addressing the encoding of mono and stereo sound sources, displacement and reverberation emulation, and multi-channel bus summing. Additionally, the workshop will demonstrate multiple possibilities of rendering final sound mixes from Ambisonics to standard industry formats.
