Dan Turner BA MSc PGCE is a PhD Candidate at the AudioLab, department of electornic engineering, University of York. and is supported by an EPSRC Industrial Cooperative Award in Science & Technology (ICASE) in partnership with BBC R&D. He received an MSc with Distinction in Audio Engineering and a BA with First Class Honours from the University of Derby, and a PGCE from Canterbury Christ Church University. His research investigates how machine learning algorithms can be applied, in an assistive capacity, to the design of immersive sounscapes for applications such as virtual reality, 360 video, and binaural audio content.
