This course will give you the tools necessary to expediently evaluate any eye complaint you come across. We will discuss important examination techniques, including checking vision, pupils, eye pressure and the slit lamp exam. We will also discuss why your local ophthalmologist doesn't really care whether or not you do a fundoscopic exam. Finally, we will go over common ophthalmology diagnoses encountered in the urgent care clinic and how quickly those patients need to see an ophthalmologist. By the end of this course, you will feel more confident in your ability to evaluate eye complaints and in your ability to recognize potentially vision-threatening conditions.
