Adam works in various aspects of quantitative ecology, such as geographic information systems, biostatistics, bat acoustics, and remote sensing. As a wildlife biologist, Adam Rusk has 7 years of experience in ecological surveys, experimental research, and data management. Mr. Rusk joined the Stantec Kansas City team in May of 2017 and has since worked on multiple projects involving the analysis of bat calls at pre-construction wind facilities, using R and R Markdown programs for evaluating equipment functionality, and in field surveys such as bat mist-netting and harp-trapping, habitat assessments, and habitat delineations using drone and GIS desktop applications. Mr. Rusk has modeled bat habitat suitability and compared bat activity to meteorological data on a number of projects throughout the Great Plains and Midwest to characterize the environmental conditions under which bats are active. He is also a certified UAS pilot, and a Stantec subject matter expert for remote sensing and statistical modeling.
