Ms. Brown is a PhD Candidate at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, advised by Dr. Diane Treat-Jacobson. She has been working in peripheral artery disease research for the past eleven years. She also worked bedside on the cardiopulmonary transplant and telemetry stepdown unit at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Ms. Brown served as the project coordinator for the four-year PAD PRAIRIE Initiative, funded by the Margaret A. Cargill Foundation. These experiences have affirmed her passion for improving disease detection, increasing referrals to supervised exercise therapy, and finding long-term exercise solutions for people with PAD.
