Special Interest Group (SIG)
The mission of the Academic Drug Discovery SIG is to enable greater interaction between academia, pharmaceutical research companies, suppliers and other technical companies. Through panel discussions, the SIG provides a unique forum to share best practices and experiences of academic screening centers. Topics of interest foster active discussion between panelists and attendees. The SIG fosters a community of drug discovery scientists residing within academic and non-profit screening centers. This year’s discussion topic is “Screening Collections: Best Practices and Lessons Learned from Academic Drug Discovery Centers”. The content will include both small molecule and functional genomic collections (CRISPR, shRNA, siRNA) supporting discovery.
