Dr. Morris is a CAQ board certified neuroradiologist specializing in diagnostic neuroradiology, diagnosis and treatment of CSF hypotension, and minimally invasive spine procedures including: pain intervention, and interventional oncology focusing on thermal ablation of tumors within the neuroaxis. He has pioneered several techniques related to cryoablation and radiofrequency ablation of tumors involving the spine, sacrum, and head and neck treating over 550 lesions to date. Dr. Morris has also been involved with medical uses of 3D printing since 2001 and co-developed the hospital based 3D printing /Anatomic modeling laboratory at Mayo Clinic over the last 12 years. Dr. Morris is a international leader in thermal ablation of tumors involving the neuroaxis and medical additive manufacturing. He has co-developed the only CME course for physicians dedicated to 3D printing and co founded the RSNA 3D SIG. Working closely with regulatory agencies and medical societies, such as the FDA and RSNA, he aids in developing the future infrastructure needed for medical 3D printing. He is a medical liason within the society of manufacturing engineers (SME) . He received his M.D. from Howard University College of Medicine in 2001. He completed several research fellowships at the NIH. His diagnostic radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship were completed at Mayo Clinic before joining the staff in 2007. He has authored and coauthored 87 peer reviewed journal articles, 37 conference proceedings and abstracts, two book chapters, and is coeditor for the journal 3D printing in Medicine. He has received over 24 awards from multiple national and international. He is co-investigator on 3 grants.
