Robert F. Short, MD, PhD serves as Section Chief of VIR at Dayton VA Medical Center and Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery and Biomedical Engineering at Wright State University, Dayton, OH.Dr. Short completed an MD/PhD program at The Ohio State University with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering (research focus: nanotechnology, targeted-drug delivery, and lymphangiogenesis); University of Virginia for his Radiology/Research Residency and fellowship in Vascular Interventional Radiology. He spent his early career as faculty at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he was director of IR at UPMC Mercy Hospital. Areas of expertise include embolization and ablative therapies, particularly ablation of pulmonary masses; pain management; and venous disease.
