My name is J. Louis Hinshaw, MD and I am a Professor of Radiology and Urology and the Chief of the Abdominal Imaging and Intervention Section at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. I am also the director of the Abdominal Imaging and Intervention Fellowship Program and serve as a member of the UWMF Professional Conduct Committee, UWMF Council of Faculty, and the UW Health Medical Staff Behavior Committee. I am active in numerous international, national, and local committees and have been recognized on multiple occasions for my outstanding teaching and research. In addition, my clinical practice was identified for an exclusive award in 2012, the UW Health Clinical Practice Physician Excellence Award. My research focuses primarily on image-guided tumor ablation and CT Colonography (Virtual Colonoscopy) and my work has resulted in over 100 peer-reviewed publications, and hundreds of presentations, posters, and lectures at national and international meetings. I am a co-investigator on multiple NIH-funded grants and am actively involved with the tumor ablation laboratory here at the University of Wisconsin.
