4 - Difficult Double Outlet Right Ventricle Case - 3D Print to the rescue

Description of Clinical Presentation: 6 years old boy with complex DORV, denied corrective surgery in the past due to anatomic challenges.
Diagnostic Techniques and Their Most Important Findings: Cardiac MRI was done on a 1.5T GE magnet - 2DSSFP, 3D SSFP, Phase Contrast and Gadolinium-enhanced 3D MRA were acquired, and analysed. Diagnosis: Situs inversus, dextrocardia, large inlet VSD, complex DORV with the right ventricle wrapping over the left ventricle - giving the ventricles a superio-inferior appearance in some views. Anatomy was challenging to understand well enough to plan surgery. DICOM dataset was segmented on Materialise Mimics platform and 3D Printed with clear resin on Formlabs Form2 printer - in three parts. The model allowed excellent, in-depth understanding of the complex anatomy and allowed successful surgical repair.
