Vanessa has been a radiographer for 30 years and began her MRI career 18 years ago in Melbourne, Australia. While working at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, she gained her masters in MRI and developed an interest in pediatric cardiac congenital imaging. On returning to the UK, she took over the lead for the MRI department at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow until she left Paediatrics to work full time in Adult Congenital Cardiac Imaging at the Golden Jubilee Hospital. She leads the National MRI imaging service in Scotland for Adult Congenital Heart disease, Advanced Heart Failure and Pulmonary Vascular Disease. She is also involved in co-ordinating and performing imaging for several research projects involving the British Heart Foundation and University of Glasgow.
