Dr Declan O’Regan is Reader in Imaging Sciences and Consultant Cardiac Radiologist at the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences (LMS). He leads the Computational Cardiac Imaging group funded by the MRC, NIHR, and BHF, with over 70 peer-reviewed publications. His multidisciplinary interests include the development of advanced clinical MRI in the cardiovascular system including 4D Flow, exercise imaging and quantitative perfusion. He also leads projects on applying machine learning to cardiac MRI for computer vision and prediction tasks enabling precision risk-stratification and genotype-phenotype modelling. He lectures internationally on the role of machine learning in radiology including a recent Rohan-Williams Traveling Professorship to Australia & New Zealand. He is currently Board Member for the British Society of Cardiac MRI and also serves on SCMR committees.
