Lauren Page Black, MD, MPH is a research fellow in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, where she previously completed residency. Her research interests include vasopressor initiation in septic shock and predictors of organ dysfunction in sepsis. She was recently awarded a KL2 from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences.
Dr. Black received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University and her Master’s of Public Health in Global Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Outside of work she enjoys traveling and hanging out with her dog, Chase. She continues to hope that hospitals will adopt a canine-friendly office culture because Chase really enjoys doing statistics.
