Brigham & Womens Hospital/Harvard Medical School
Dr. Cleveland is currently a Chief Resident at the Harvard-Affiliated (MGH-BWH) Emergency Medicine residency. After graduating from Yale with a degree in Art History and French, she worked in Liberia for the Clinton Foundation before attending medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. She initially matched into plastic surgery at NYU, but changed course after her PGY2 year to pursue a career in EM. In the interim, she completed her Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. In addition to clinical emergency medicine, Dr. Cleveland is passionate about health equity and anti-racism work. In particular, she is interested in developing evidence-based strategies to foster both inclusive work environments for healthcare workers, as well as equitable emergency healthcare provision for all patients, regardless of race and gender. She and her husband Gaurav met while working in Liberia, and now live in Boston with their two delightfully strong-willed boys (ages 4 and 1). Following her graduation in January 2020, Dr. Cleveland will be joining the faculty at Boston University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor, and will work as an attending emergency medicine physician at the Boston Medical Center.
