Michael W. Dailey, MD, FACEP FAEMS, is Chief of the Division of Prehospital and Operational Medicine and an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Albany Medical College. He is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and EMS. He completed residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and received his MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has been involved in EMS for over 35 years, with provider experience in volunteer suburban EMS, rural volunteer fire service, urban municipal EMS, and helicopter EMS.
Currently, Dr. Dailey serves New York State as a member of the State Medical and Trauma Advisory Committees and the Medical Standards Committee. He is the EMS Medical Director for the Hudson Mohawk Region--REMO, the six counties surrounding the State Capital, and as operational medical director for the Cities of Albany, Schenectady and Watervliet, as well as the Town of Colonie. He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, the National Association of EMS Physicians, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the National Fire Protection EMS Committee and the National Association of EMTs.
