Jeremy Ackerman MD, PhD is an Associate Professor at in Emergency Medicine at Emory University and Biomedical Engineering at Emory and Georgia Tech. At Georgia Tech he teaches undergraduate and graduate students about designing for healthcare. He is an inventor and has advised student and faculty medical device inventors. In addition, he has been a competitive shooter is a certified firearms instructor, and works with police tactical units. At Emory he serves as one of the leading educators in provider based firearm cultural competency training, both in classroom and range-based settings.
