Alisa ("Lisa") McQueen, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Chair of Education at the University of Chicago/Comer Children’s Hospital. She specializes in pediatric emergency medicine, and is the program director for the both the pediatric residency and the pediatric emergency medicine fellowship program. Dr McQueen attended medical school at Mount Sinai in New York, and completed her pediatrics residency at the Boston Combined Residency Program. She completed her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School before relocating to Chicago. She's officially become a midwesterner - and will even eat fried twinkies.
Dr McQueen is known for her contagious love of teaching, and effective teaching style. She is an advocate for residents and fellows. Her research interests include pain management during procedures, medical simulation, and medical education.
