Katherine Dunne, MD is currently a 3rd year resident in Pediatric Medicine at the The University of Arizona Pediatrics Residency Program in Tucson, AZ. She is interested in pursuing fellowships in both pediatric emergency medicine and child abuse and neglect. She is a resident member of the Ray E. Helfer Society and recently presented two research projects focused on pediatric abuse management in the emergency department
setting at the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AzAAP) Conference. Before residency, in 2017, she graduated from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC in the Emergency Management Track. As a medical student, she was a paid researcher in The GW Medical Faculty Associates Department of Infectious Diseases, Washington, D.C. Before medical school, she finished a post-baccalaureate program at Johns Hopkins University and prior to that, in 2008, she graduated from the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism with a double major in Asian and Middle East Studies.
