I was born in San Francisco, CA, and grew up in the Bay Area. I went to Princeton University and majored in Molecular Biology. I spent two years at a community clinic in a low-income area working on projects aimed at improving care for patients with chronic disease. At medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill, I quickly fell in love with Emergency Medicine and the environment of the ED. I completed my EM residency at Stanford University, and am now in the second year of a Medical Education Scholarship fellowship. I am also a candidate for a Master’s in Medical Education from the University of Pennsylvania. At Stanford, I served a year as an assistant program director and now am the assistant clerkship director.
