Medicines Evaluation Board (NL)
Waldo Weijers graduated as a Pharmacist at the University of Utrecht. After positions at the University of Utrecht and in a Community Pharmacy in Rotterdam, he joined the Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB). First in the position of Chemical Pharmaceutical Assessor, later as a Regulatory Affairs Manager and Secretary of the Board Meetings of the MEB. Currently, he is holding the position of senior advisor at the Policy, Regulatory and International Affairs- Department of the MEB. Part of his duties are the Drug Device Combinations, including the Consultation Procedures for Medical Devices with an ancillary substance. Also demarcation issues of borderline products belong to his tasks. For the latter, he serves as a liaison for the MEB towards Colleague Authorities.
