It’s wonderful to experience QuiltCon the show, but why not also get to experience central Texas while you’re in Austin? Join us for a special day of sight‐seeing built for quilters. Price includes bus transportation, all admission fees, as well as lunch. See the Texas Quilt Museum in La Grange, Texas, housed in a beautifully restored 19th century building, surrounded by Grandmother’s Flower Garden. Opened in 2011, this beautiful museum features a wide variety of quilts, including a special retrospective exhibit of QuiltCon winners. Stroll through the historic La Grange Town Square and discover the wonder of Le Petite Kitchen Gourmet Shoppe, a kitchen emporium with tea, spices, coffees, kitchen gadgets, and more. Enjoy lunch at Le Petite Kitchen Gourmet Shoppe by the fabulous Chef Mike Morphew, who previously worked in Buckingham Palace feeding the royal family, followed by a trip to the Rohan Meadery. Texas’s oldest meadery specializes in creating mead while also offering crisp, refreshing farmhouse style ciders, and fine Italian varietal wines from Triology Estates in the Texas Hill Country. Return to Austin inspired, refreshed, and invigorated!
