"Boro" is a Japanese term that means "tattered cloth" or "rags". These pieces are patched together to make larger pieces of useable fabric. They are the ultimate example of make do and mend. In this workshop, Blair will guide you through creating your own Boro-inspired quilt top. We will pay homage to this time-honored technique from a more modern quilting perspective. We'll begin with a base layer of improv patchwork, then add patches and decorative hand stitching, such as Sashiko, over the base to enhance and add texture.
